Max Foundation presented during the annual SRHR conference

Last week, the National Conference on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) 2016 took place in the Bangla Academy, Dhaka. This knowledge sharing festival was aimed to bring together policymakers, researchers, public health leaders and other stakeholders across the country. The purpose of the conference was to discuss high priority SRHR issues in Bangladesh, present findings of ongoing initiatives and propose recommendations. The conference was jointly organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Embassy of Sweden, the United Nationals Population Fund (UNFPA) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in partnership with MoH&FW.

On request of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Max Foundation presented their field experiences and learnings on the interlinkage between WASH and SRHR program integration for better Sexual and Reproductive Health.

Since water and sanitation have a significant impact on sexual and reproductive health of females across their lifespan, these topics are closely related. Max Foundation believes that effective treatment can be reached by applying an integrated approach to achieve maximum impact.

Participants expressed their appreciation of the presentation given by Shamim Rabbani and agreed with the topics he highlighted.
